6013 To By/Ald.{F. Allwood - Experimental Design} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}7/JH.5.7.39. Will you please design a rig for testing contact breakers. This to consists in general of a plain shaft, belt driven, and capable of driving a contact breaker to LOP.DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}2005 at one end, and one to LOP.DW.426 at the other end. We have a three phase sychronous motor which may be used for the drive, this runs at a speed of 1,000 r.p.m. We would like the pulley designed so as to give alternate contact-breaker speeds of 500 r.p.m. and 1,000 r.p.m. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R.
