Re :- "Peregrine II".
Starter Motor.

With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.12/MA.20-4-32, we are afraid we cannot give any advice on the armature winding from the information given as you do not state the diameter of the armature.

We suggest, therefore, that you should let us have a complete specification for the starter motor giving all the particulars in a similar manner to what we have previously had, i.e. :-

Torque required to turn engine.
Reduction ratio. 12-1.
Gearing efficiency proposed.
Current.
Volts.
Armature diameter and length. 2.375 x 2 1/4.
Number of Conductors.
Size of Conductors.
Section of pole, and outside diameter of magnet case. 3.750.
Polar arc.
Size of main winding and number of turns.
Size of teazer winding and number of turns.

We then shall have some idea of what is required and can proceed to make a rough mechanical design.
