STARTING HANDLES ON 20 HP. CARS.

When the 20 HP. was first introduced, it was considered desirable to have no starting handle in front, so that it would advertise that it had a self-starter. This necessity is now past, and we shall be glad to know whether it would cost much extra to have the starting handle always in front, as is the case on the 40/50 HP.

The advantages are two-fold :-

1. It enables chauffeurs to turn over the engine once or twice before using the starter, and thus save strain on the battery.

2. It prevents people losing their starting handle, or leaving it at home.
