X.607 A.T. RECEIVED APR 28 1922 C.E.S.Co. to E.C. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP2/EC 27.4.22. Re. Chassis 21-TW. R.A. Claremont Esq. ------------------------------------ We have received from the Repair Dept., ex. the above 1 - 12 volt Exide Battery alleged to be faulty. This battery has been dismantled and the inspection shewed that all the positive plates are badly buckled, causing a short circuit in each cell. No ebonite separators are fitted and the absence of these has no doubt accelerated the collapse of the plates. However, on the other hand, our records shew that this battery has been in use since August 1920 and we hardly think that the maker's will renovate free of charge. We are, however, leaving the question of charge in this case until the visit and inspection of the Chloride Co's., representative. C.E.S. Co. | ||
