We are in receipt of your letter of the 1st inst. and note you propose to electrically weld a flange on to a tube 5" diameter x 3/16" thick wall for rear axles. Work of this nature requires a special machine which is only made when called for. We regret therefore that we should be unable to make satisfactory experimental sets at the moment, but suggest you approach Messrs. Rogers Wilson & Co. of Speaking Stile Walk, Birmingham, who have a machine of our manufacture capable of doing this work. These people have undertaken work of this nature for our clients at various times. Regarding the question of production and quantities, we regret to say we do not undertake work of this nature as we confine ourselves to the production of machines and do not enter into competition with users. We shall be pleased to hear if we may have the pleasure of quoting you for a suitable machine in this instance, and if so kindly let us have drawings of the flange which has to be welded to the tube. Yours faithfully, J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Tennant' HCKB | ||
