129-GN. LONDON TRIALS.

After trying this car in comparison with 58-GN, I handed the matter over to Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to try and effect an improvement, of course, having kept in touch with EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from time to time.

I now attach copy of Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s report. (Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}/T/15.9.30)

After trying these two cars on Saturday and Sunday, I now consider 129-GN. to be rather better than 58-GN.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} and myself tested this car on Saturday, and we all considered it quite a decided improvement, both for noises and vibration at the steering wheel.

It is now thought that 58-GN can also be made slightly better.

There is just a question, possibly you or PN.{Mr Northey} would like to try these two cars before we attempt to improve 58-GN. Would it be convenient for PN.{Mr Northey} to try them Wednesday or Thursday of this week, either at Bignell's corner or preferably at the Works?
