COPY TC/484. 23rd June, 1933. Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited, DERBY. Gentlemen, CONTRACT T.555. 20/25 H.P. Engines - Screening Arrangements. --------------------- With reference to previous correspondence ending with my letter to you of the 16th instant (your ref: No. E3/HP), I have now to advise you that, for the present, no modifications in the existing screening arrangements on your 20/25 H.P. Engines are desired. C.I.A.(5) 2692/32 The small modifications proposed in my letter of 26/5/'33 need not, therefore, be investigated further, so long as the existing Wireless sets (No.1) remain standard. As a change in the type of set is, however, already under contemplation, I would suggest that the results of your present investigations should be retained against future eventualities, provided that no expenditure chargeable against the War Department is incurred. I am, Gentlemen, Your obedient servant, (Signed) E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} B. ROWCROFT for CHIEF INSPECTOR OF ARMAMENTS. | ||
