| -E- Briefly, if the second half of the test had been stopped at 25,000 miles, 10,000 more than we usually run, no major failure would have been recorded. A brake drum was cracked during this test at 15,000 miles. This has happened on various previous 15,000 miles cars when extra heavy braking has been indulged in. The main bearings, which were strip type, showed signs of distress at the end of the run, but would have lasted a further 10,000 miles at least. PRELIMINARY TEST OF 15,000 MILES. Mileage.
