No explanation No further failures in last 20,000 miles. 29,000 Rear Spring leaves fail Stress can be reduced by increasing number of plates. 30,000 Exhaust Valve head fails. Stem thickness being increased. Standard Wraith valve. 35,000 Clutch plate Driving springs Standard failures do not occur in service. 40,000 Rear axle wheel bearings fail. Bearings increased 25% in capacity. Failure probably due to being fitted with too little clearance. A number of minor troubles such as thermostats sticking, mis-firing on the pick-up, etc. occurred.
