Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your enquiry of 26th January enclosing your drawing GB.4614, and our approximate price if we can cut the teeth E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} would be £4/-/-.

The position is that due to the large Helix angle and the small gap we are not quite sure whether we can accommodate this on our machine, but there is a possibility that this can be done.

To mount the component in our machine would mean you would have to leave extensions beyond the teeth A and beyond the teeth D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} each approximately 1" - 1.5" diam x 2" - 3" long.

We are sorry we cannot tell you definitely that we can carry out the cutting, and at the price given above we have found it necessary to include for suitable equipment.

If the gap of .275" was approximately 1/16" wider we have no doubt but what we could cut this gear.

We think it would be best for you to phone the writer tomorrow, so that we could perhaps come to some arrangement.

Yours faithfully,
DAVID BROWN & SONS(HUDD)LTD.,
