Our Ref: WCT/3. 13th July 1921. Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd. Nightingale.Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr Thacker. We thank you for your letter of the 12th inst., together with report on your visit to these works on Monday last, and duly note your remarks. We are extremely obliged to you for the address of the company who supplied you with the insulating material of which we have a sample. We have now completed as far as possible the design of the starter and dynamo for the Goshawk I engine, prints of which we enclose. Starter Print No.888.A. We enclose print No.887/1 giving the necessary details at our end of the starter shaft, which will enable you to produce the shaft for the starter. We also enclose your blue print of the end frame No.D.50002 with the dimensions filled in to suit our requirements. We presume it is your intention to make this end frame and to supply it to us with the ball bearing fitted to it, and we should like you to confirm this. Dynamo Print No.888.B. We enclose your blue print of the end frame D.50201 with the necessary dimensions filled in, and should like to know if it is your intention to make this one also.
