Continuation Sheet No.1.

Messrs Hoffman and have ordered some deep grooved high speed bearings for this machine. We enclose blue print of the arrangement of this dynamo and you will note that we have retained our standard design of end cover as we think that there will be plenty of room to remove this, and we should like to have your views on this point.

We have added an oil groove on the outer end of the frame on the pulley end of the machine, to trap the oil which is thrown up by the gear wheel, the gear wheel thereby acting as the oil thrower. We think this will be quite as satisfactory as our standard type of thrower. We found it very difficult to incorporate our parts on this machine as it would necessitat screwing the shaft.

We think it advisable that both pulley frames should be made of gunmetal.

We shall be glad if you will give these points your early consideration and report to us on same, when we shall be pleased to proceed with the work without delay.

Assuring you of our very best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,
THE LUCAS ELECTRICAL COMPANY LTD.
