BENTLEY CHASSIS DISCHARGED BATTERIES.

A new type voltage regulator e.g. type B2CJ1 is now available for fitting to cars where customers complain of insufficient charge. The old regulator should be returned to the Works.

This new regulator allows a large charging current to be fed to the battery in order to compensate for the volt drop between the regulator and the battery.

Will you please let us have any reports you may receive of cases where discharged batteries still exist even with the new regulator, excepting those cars were radio sets are installed. In the case of the latter an air-cooled dynamo is required in addition, but this item is not ready for production at this stage.
