Road Wheels - Hub Fixing.

Design Dept. are dealing with this.

Experimental Cars.

We have brought 33-EX up to the standard of Hancock's car in France, with the exception of the slipper wheel, and it is being used for experimental work. 35-EX is at the present moment dismantled and being brought up to date. 36-EX chassis is having the body of 32-EX fitted to it.

BENTLEY

Big Bore Engine.

We are struggling with bearings. Hall's metal bearings are not without their problems. It would appear that lead bronze big ends and Hall's metal mains may be the final compromise.

Future Programme.

This is rather obscure since supercharging work has been stopped on the Bentley.

6-B-IV should be ready to go to France in three or four weeks' time.

20/25 HP. Rolls-Royce.

Improved Steering.

We think that the SpectreCodename for Phantom III steering which it was proposed to standardise on the 20/25 should be studied from the point of view of cost. We have been hoping that we should be able to improve this steering, but as it now appears that we may have to use the La{L. A. Archer} Salle proportions on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, these modifications would also apply to the 20/25.
