We wish to try in a Bentley Test Bed Unit as soon as possible a set of Connecting Rods 1.000 longer than standard. To do this we suggest that the cylinder block be lifted up 1.000 by inserting a Packing Piece between the Crankcase Top Half and the Cylinder Block. We shall also want in conjunction with this job a set of Tappet Push Rods 1.000 longer than standard. The method of holding down the Tappets will also require modifying when the packing piece is inserted. The Connecting Rods could be made of Duralumin as they will be easier to produce. Will you please get the necessary drawings done and issue the instructions for the job. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/R.Matthews. | ||
