ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To Order No. 3 Customer's No. 19 The wheels are placed in position & have been tightened up by hand, a mallet should be used on the spanner to tighten them a little harder than can usually be done by hand. If this advice is followed out the wear on the spline should be very small. In the old type, with the safety locking device, they did not recommend the use of a mallet for tightening purposes, but undoubtedly this would have prevented the great amount of wear which under ordinary circumstances takes place. With regard to the Dunlop wheels. Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
