originally put on. When new of course there is no movement on the hub & the drive is taken up without any slackness. To have this slackness cured it is necessary to send the wheels & hubs to the R.W. Co who will cut fresh Keyways in the shell to suit the existing Keys on the hubs after they have been trimmed up. On the new type 1913 R.W. wheel, the drive is applied through splines instead of keys, & we have not had any cases under our notice, up to the present, where slack has developed with these.
