Dear Sirs,

Harris Flexible Bearings.

We are wanting to start two designs as soon as possible, one for a Harris bush to replace a Silentbloc in our yoke piece front suspension, the other to replace the present rubbers in an anti-roll stabilizer. We enclose prints showing the present schemes.

The following additional data you ask for in making recommendations:-

Upper Yoke Bearing.

(1) Type of motion, simple rotation.
(2) Static Load 350 lbs., shock load 150 lbs. additional at rt. angles to the static.
(3) Angle of motion 35°.
(4) Dimension, see drawing.
(5) No twist, 300 lbs. end load on braking, exact load depending on the rigidity of the bush.
(6) No limits as to torsional rigidity are imposed, the present figure is about 20 lbs-ins. per degree.
(7) No limit of deflection is imposed, the present deflection is negligible.

We give you this data because you ask for it, but what we really want is a bush about the same size as our Silentbloc which has a good life figure.
