WATFORD SLEEVELESS MAGNETO.

We have 2 of the Watford sleeveless magnetos on test. One has been condemned for a knock which comes from the gears on the armature - the other is condemned for noisy contact breaker.

Investigation of these faults and means of overcoming them are being carried out.

The point we wish to emphasise is that at the moment we cannot recommend the adoption of this type of magneto. As soon however as we are satisfied that these faults are overcome, we shall issue a standardisation sheet.
