Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. 25th. October, 1932. Dear Sirs, Your Order No.37265, dated 17th ultimo. We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 24th instant, regarding the material of the containers employed in the batteries supplied to the above order. The one battery of 6 XHR9-1L type was fitted with ebonite container; the two batteries each 6 XCMR11-1ML were fitted in containers of Richardson material, which is a composition, a proprietary product of the General Electric Company, Ltd., Witton. At the time of executing your order we only had one ebonite container in stock, otherwise the three batteries would have been fitted in ebonite, and in the event of any bulk order from you we would employ ebonite.
