c RHE/RP Inspection file 1256 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/JH. 20th. May, 1939. The Light Production Co.Ltd., 60/66 Rochester Row, LONDON.S.W.1. For the attention of Mr. Brooks. Dear Sirs, The 'L' section rings arrived safely, and have been fitted to the necessary pistons. Our inspection dept. have now reported on the 14 pistons EB.4740 received as the beginning of our production order. There are one or two points as follows :- Piston Rings. Our drawings No.EB.4747-8-9 do not show a chamfer on the inside corners, but your rings are chamfered. This is of course our mistake, and the chamfer is correct, so in order that our detail drawings may be brought in line, will you please supply prints of your working drawings. Pistons. It is reported that the inside core dia. is plus, from .015 to .025 thus leaving the walls thin to this extent on the skirt. | ||
