In the 2nd. Bentley engine the crankshaft period has been raised another 200 rev/min. by increasing the journal size.

(12) We have a large selection of valve springs to choose from some of which have run 10,000 miles on the J.I head without failure. There is a design of double valve spring available. It should not be difficult to eliminate this trouble.

(13) See 10.

(14) This is a matter for development of satisfactory rubbing blocks material. Delco's pieces have given us satisfaction on the Peregrine.

(15) The design has been improved and there is more ground clearance at this point on the 2nd. Bentley car.

(16) We have a better brake lining for the next car. Additionally larger brake drums are available if found to be necessary.

(17) The silent 2nd. gear in this box is not to the latest design which is quite free from this trouble.

(18) We have received a design for this which will almost certainly overcome the trouble mentioned by altering the proportions of the axle pivots. This will be available in the immediate future. We, however, take the view that the steering is reasonably good at present.

(19) The plate from which the oil leak is reported has been deleted, and a solid ended bush is fitted which has eliminated the trouble.

(20) This will be investigated when the parts are to hand.

(21) A slower speed dynamo has been fitted to the next car.

(22) This will be investigated when the car returns.

(23) This is a matter for increasing coachbuilding clearance.

(24) This will be taken up with Rudge Whitworths when the car returns.
