SPEEDOMETER DRIVE.

With reference to your Dal/M17.8.31. we have now completed tests on one of our cars using four slots .100 wide and .025 deep in the faces of the bushes G.76751 and G.77492.

The bushes were built up dry and after 30 miles on the road oil had reached the extreme end of the bushes. Care was taken to see that the clearance between the bush and the spindle was to drawing. The same result was obtained three times.

This scheme is being adopted on production at once.
