Re Valve Lift Diagrams.

Thank you for your excellent investigations of the valve areas. It seems manifest to me that the engine is limited through the resistance of the gas passing the valve. It appears that in the near future we shall have to adopt a twin valve arrangement, or at least larger sized valves, and the only thing we can do with the present ones is, as I telegraphed this morning, to make a camshaft having quicker acceleration by the cam, and about the same deceleration by the spring, and arrange it so that the lift is higher, in which case you will see that there will be more load on the rockers and rollers, but the valves would work with the same spring. I do not know at present, at what speed the valves leave the cams.
