Mr.Rowbotham.

Dear Sir.

Reference the application of Mr.Potts in your employ for the period ofleave of absence (23/8/37 to 4/9/37) for the purpose of attending a Course of Instruction in Anti-Aircraft Defence whilst a member of the Territorial Force.

I regret to report to you that a communication by phone from the War Office yesterday indicated that it would be impossible for the above named man to attend this Course on the grounds of accommodation.

In regretting the trouble caused to you in having to find a substitute may I also emphasize the disappointment to this Unit when recruiting for the newly Anti-Aircraft units formed in Derby should be stimulated by all efforts.

Yours Faithfully.
