1065. (Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 19th January, 1937. A.R. Smith, Esq., Messrs. Ford Motor Co.,Ltd., Dagenham, ESSEX. Dear Mr. Smith, Last time you were at Dagenham you very kindly said that if at any time our engineers wished to study your methods at Dagenham, you would be very pleased to arrange this. Our Mr. Eccles is studying equipment gener-ally, and would very much like to come down to Dagenham on Monday, January 25th, and have a look at the machines you have in general use if this can be arranged. From what I saw, I imagine it would be quite impossible for him to get the information available in a day, and that he could, with advantage, spend half a week there, but I leave it to you to say whether you will have him, and, if so, how long you will be bothered with him. Yours sincerely, | ||
