9. The storage place should be dry, well-ventilated, and preferably heated.

10. The battery should be treated as described in the Battery Maker's pamphlet.

If maintained in a charged condition, such charging must be done from an external source.

When it is required to put the car into service again, the engine crankcase should be filled to the correct level with fresh engine oil, the ignition plugs removed and cleaned, and the water system (if drained) refilled with clean, soft or distilled water.

After filling the main petrol tank, it will be necessary, before the engine can be started, to prime the vacuum tank. This is most conveniently done by disconnecting the supply pipe and injecting about a dozen syringe-fulls of petrol.

The engine should be run at a moderate speed for a time after starting up, with the Starting Carburetter control set at "Extra Oil Only".
