SPRING ADJUSTMENT TO SALISBURY REAR AXLE.

RIPPLETTO

On PL.199 herewith we show the special spring plate and U bolts which are required for fitting the Salisbury rear axle tube to the rear springs Rippletto.

The upper and lower rubbers are existing pieces but the metal shields are cut away slightly differently to clear the U bolts.

It is suggested that the existing detail be altered to cover the semi floating axle and also the Salisbury axle.

The spring seat is that shown on the latest drawing of the Salisbury rear axle number SKA.30722.

Since U bolts .4375 in diameter appear to be satisfactory on the Silver Phantom we consider that the size should be reduced for Rippletto.

We have made the U bolts .375 diameter.
