To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} 1263 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems}1/JH.28.4.37. We have withdrawn the standardisation sheet X.no.1263 issued 14.4.37. for the additional pump scheme on the Phantom III owing to the unavoidable use of fibre washers in the S.U. standard pump. In its place we are issuing a sheet to cover the original scheme LeC.53/8 which is running in France. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is pressing this scheme for production and wishes to know the earliest chassis at which it could be brought in. The body for the pump is identical to that used on LeC. 5191 with the exception that the casting is to be machined flat on the unused side. The S.U. Co. have the pattern for this body. The elbow connections will have to be made in the works. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems} | ||
