On the way to the track the ignition timing on both banks slipped and it was necessary to retime the ignitions before the car could be moved. Owing to the track closing at 1-15 there was insufficient time to start the carburation tests.

It has been found on dismantling the engine that two keys have sheared on the ignition tower cross shaft; L.85109.
