'Barker job', the design of a wide dash, and the use of an underframe for closed bodies.

He feels that this would better not be a Barker job, as they might get suspicion if they discovered that the wide dash of the car was the same as that on the Sports model. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Story'l advocates the use of an underframe for all closed bodies on EACII, & R instructs me to go ahead with a design. If Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} wants this on the first body it will cause considerable delay. He will be here about the middle of next week - Oct 22nd & if I could have the approx date at which we could give him a standard job, it would enable me to come to a decision as to whether to use our ordinary scheme of mounting - the first body, or to wait & build a body on an underframe.
