Re Testing EAC.II with Covered Body.
-- -- -- -- -- -- --

You will remember that Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} said that it would be possible to alter a Limousine built for an ordinary standard chassis to suit the EAC. with an upright column.

We were thinking the best and quickest way would be to use the Barker Pullman that we supplied to you for your front wheel brake tests last year. It seems to me it would save a lot of bother and suspicion if you simply took this body and fitted it to the EAC.

This is a very good type of body to test from the point of view of booming. If we were to build a body it would take about 4 months; if we take a body already built in the wood and iron it would be very similar in design to the one you have and would take 2 or 3 weeks to fit up on to the chassis and then would have to be altered, quite apart from the expense.

I mentioned this to CJ. and he thought it satisfactory if it could be arranged to suit you, and asked me to communicate with you in the matter.

Will you please let me know what you think of this.

C.
