S/W. (Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}). X 384 [crossed out] X 4038 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}16/W/13.7.27. Appearance of Chassis. what Thanks for your EY8/H11.7.27. I note/you say in regard to using Cars but I note you do not mention whether you found the present standard gauge easy to read. We here, feel very strongly that we have gone backwards instead of forwards in adopting the present gauge instead of the Telegauge, - this for the reasons set out in my Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}11/W/8.7.27. I today shewed the correspondence to BJ. and asked him to come down to the Showroom in order to see two 40/50 HP. Cars which were there - one with the telegauge and one with the latest gauge - and straight away he agreed that the telegauge was quite easy to read and has the advantage mentioned in my former memo re litres as well gallons and he also agreed that the present gauge was very difficult to read. He also asked me to enquire from you as to what is the disadvantage of a larger gauge and why should we not revert immediately to the telegauge. Re: 20 HP. Engine Starter Pedal referred to in my former memo, I note you have not replied to this but possibly you are dealing with it in a separate memo. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} for. | ||
