We have been advised by Dunlops that their present stock of Traction Tread Balanced Covers held against our requirements, is as follows:- 33 x 6.75 for 40/50 model - 152. 5¼ x 21 size for 20-HP model - 511. In view of the intention to introduce the Buttressed Tread tyre simultaneously, we have to-day written to Dunlops requesting them to proceed with the manufacture of further supplies of the Traction Tread for the 'Phantom' in order that we may absorb quantities of the 5¼ x 21 and thereby endeavour to introduce the Buttressed Tread tyre on both chassis simultaneously. We attach copy of Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}19/M/17.5.27 on this subject. Can you advise us what tyres are being used on Bentleys cars and if the above proposal any way interferes with any arrangement already on hand. D/BP | ||
