SS{S. Smith} 256 (100 BKS.) (SH57.29-6-20.) MP 224358 X7690 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.Y.C. Order No. WB{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell} 76 Customer's No. X8690 Tangential force necessary to move distributor to advance or retard. We have observed this force on six distributors in Mr. Brock's department, and find it to be as follows:- 2 1/2, 1 1/2, 2 1/4, 2 1/4, 1 1/2 & 3 lbs respectively These results give an average figure of 2 lbs. We suggest therefore, that the production limits for insertion in our production specification should be from 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 lbs. for the tangential force necessary to advance or retard distributor. Signed H.E.W. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
