Dear Sirs, We omitted to ask you at the conference on Friday last what is the reason you fill the outside primary type of coil with pitch or bitumen. We should be interested to know the reason for this as apparently it is practically impossible to repair any of these coils satisfactorily owing to the pitch running right through the windings and destroying any evidence of failure.
