W.W. CONSTANTINE. CONSULTING ENGINEER. 111, GROSVENOR ROAD, LONDON, S.W.1. ENG. TEL: VICTORIA 3537-3538. 14th. December. 1934. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. Robotham, Harrison Radiator Cores. I received some little time ago a letter from our people in the States advising that you had, on June 4th. last, written to Mr. Saunders of Harrison asking them to furnish Rolls with a core of certain dimensions. They advised me that to furnish this core would necessitate the building of special tools, which would probably cost somewhere about $150. to $200. They then quote a letter which they wrote you in reply asking if you would advise them whether or not Rolls were going to take a licence from Harrison. Our people have sent me this correspondence along asking me to let them know how the matter now stands with you. Actually, speaking from memory, my correspondence with Mr. Harvey Bailey faded out after I sent him information as to the probable cost of the tools you would have to instal to manufacture Harrison Radiator Cores under licence from us, and I believe that your attitude then was that you would probably wait until AC-Sphinx had commenced manufacture of these cores in England and was able to supply them to you. I shall be much obliged if you will drop me a line some time letting me know what the situation is, so that I can reply to our people, although of course you may have replied to Harrison's letter long before this. Better still, if you are going to be in town in the near future, will you have lunch with me, and we can then have a chat about it. Yours sincerely, W. W. CONSTANTINE. WWC/KG. 299. | ||
