X9940 To FH. from CJ. Copy to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Copy to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Copy to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} CJ8/E26/9/24. The demonstration of the 6 wheel brakes on the 10th seems to me to be an occasion which should be regarded as one of great importance. The impression on the Press people will largely depend upon the drivers of the cars. Not only should they thoroughly understand the demonstration of the brakes but they should also know individually the Press representatives to whom the brakes are to be exhibited and explained. There are in the Company men who are not only good drivers but who are also very well acquainted with the Press representatives and I suggest that on this occasion they should be the ones to take charge of the cars, for instance: yourself, H, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Will you kindly see that those of these officials who have not had experience of 6 wheel brakes should under your supervision have experience with them and will you kindly indicate to them what in your opinion is the best series of demonstrations which they can make for the purpose of convincing the Press people of the excellence of our braking system.
