Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} (1) Mr. Wormald was unable to be present at either yesterday's conference or today's conference, owing to his having to attend meetings in the town, of the Employers' Federation. (2) SPRINGS - CHANGEOVER. The following wire was read at the meeting, received from Mr. Claude Johnson:- "Please proceed with changing Rear Springs at approximate cost of £6500." The changeover was to have begun last Monday but in view of the strike we have not been able to carry this out, and we are still continuing to deliver a few chassis with the split springs. (3) KLAXON HORNS. The following memo was read at the meeting, from Mr. Royce:- "With reference to the minutes of the Daily Conference on the 11th May, I do not think we can make Klaxon Horns. Our numbers are too small to make manufacturing pay." Owing to our delivering chassis with slight surface cracks in the Klaxon Horns, this has relieved the position considerably. | ||
