48260 To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} SECRET. c. to CJ. R.{Sir Henry Royce} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/M13.10.24. E.A.C.11. SPORTS MODEL. X. 8830 X. 8250 X. 8260 This is to confirm our conversation of Friday last concerning the first three bodies being built at Barker. With a view to obtaining every possible degree of secrecy it was agreed that you would supply a 40/50 radiator and special bonnet to mount on this chassis at Barkers, the EAC.2. bonnet and radiator being sent to Lillie Hall, where they can be mounted in position and for viewing by the management/Sales. We think that it might be advisable for the model to have no steering column at all or just a plain 40/50 worm tube and wheel when next it is returned to Barkers. We hope that the first body will be completed by the end of this week or soon after. MADE AT CROXLEY DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
