X3587 To BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to FN. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LGS.12.22. X3587 BIJUR BENDIX FOR 20 HP. STARTER MOTOR. Y4384 With reference to your BJ3/H5.12.22. The Works have been instructed to hold up on the parts affected by the introduction of the Bijur Bendix Drive. Experiments in connection with this, are being carried out continuously. The Bijur Bendix we are proposing to adopt, is an exact copy of the model submitted to us by the Bijur Co. of U.S.A. We have cabled to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and asked him to call upon the Bijur people and obtain from them all information and their recommendations. The Bijur Bendix which we have copied is possibly out-of-date from their present knowledge. We also do not even know that it is the one they would recommend for a 20 HP. size of engine. We are expecting EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} to bring back a definite recommendations from the Bijur Co.(who are the originators of this drive) of all points as regards design, manufacture and adjustments. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} has cabled for further information which shows that he is in communication with the Bijur people. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
