Dear Sirs, Further to our telephone conversation this morning, the small VG.100 discs are being put through with a reinforcing backing and will be stencilled on the reinforced side so that it should be perfectly clear that the unmarked side is the running surface. With regard to the 48 VG.90 brake linings, we regret that our Works were somewhat optimistic with reference to the delivery which was promised for Monday last. We have only one die available in this size and this fact coupled with the extreme care with which this material is now being manufactured for you, has unfortunately delayed the first delivery until Monday next, the 3rd July, when part of the order will be despatched by passenger train.
