Cox - Advertising Manager}1/KW.13.6.38. With reference to the major points of criticism as follows :- (1). Steering. This is now considerably lighter to handle since fitting needle roller bearings to pivots. (2). Brakes. When car was returned to the Works, the squeak was from the servo. This has been overcome by fitting Halo 3L friction linings. (3). Petrol surging out of filler cap. The petrol filler is now fitted with a remote vent pipe which effectually overcomes this fault. (5). Misfiring. This appears to have been due to an excess of oil from the rocker shaft, which has been dealt with by a modification to the oil feed. Synchro Mesh. The second speed synchro mesh is now working satisfactorily. We agree that the car will put up a better average speed than the 25/30, due to its improved suspension and controllability.
