Sn.{Mr Sanderson} BY/Cgh{W Clough}3/G.17.7.28. re PHANTOM HEADLAMPS. -------------------- With reference to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/M13.7.28. we note that you propose to adopt the headlamps at 27" centres and at a height of 17 3/4" measured from the top of chassis frame for chassis from G.2B series onwards. If desired we could have a new set of brackets/produced experimentally to give the above positions. In regard to the 5th paragraph of your memo, the brackets which we sent you were intended only for the P.100 type headlamps, and these should be quite clear of the radiator even when fitted on the straight brackets, as there are no bulb adjusting screws on this type of lamp. We propose to send to WW. a revised drawing showing the new positions now agreed to. BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
