Bensport Needle Bearing Universal Joints.

With further reference to N. Sch. 3827, it will be noted that we have called for a circumferential clearance of .010".

Experimental Department report that it is probable that this is too much, at any rate with a dry bearing, and the rollers tend to crosswind and stick.

We, therefore, suggest that the circumferential clearance should in the first case be reduced to .005". This is done by a slight reduction in the diameter of the inside and outside races.
