BENTLEY EXHAUST.

We will make another effort to get away from the pipes passing over the axle on the Bentley. The position at present is that with the exhaust under the axle the exhaust noise when "picking up" is heard in the car. We have tried round and flat pipes and also an extension beyond the rear of the car without making much difference. As soon as we take the pipe out of the top of the rear expansion box over the axle this noise is decreased to the extent of about 75%
