With reference to your By/RDL/W8.1.31 we should be pleased if you would arrange for this special armature to be left over-size in the first instance to the extent of providing a .015" air gap in place of a .022" gap. Having tried the armature with that air gap we can readily subsequently have the armature turned down to provide the standard .022" gap, the effect of which on the output curve will be distinctly informative in connection with the dynamo variations at present under consideration.
