The following is an extract from

Mr Royce's memo R14/P25813 :-

"I do not know what we are bothering with "these for. I understand the Exide cells "are proof against sulphurating. These "should be adopted, and stuck to, until "they give some trouble.

"While on this subject, I do not "know why we are worrying with Edison "batteries on our trial car, when we say "that the price of these is prohibitive."
