RE. HIGH TENSION WIRES - EXPERIMENTAL ENGINES.

We give below a report from our Tester Goose at Martlesham and upon which we should like to have your comments -

"I note that on the Ignition wires adjacent to cyl. walls a slight brown powdery substance is shewing as if the shellac is oozing through the wire brading. This sympton is only in evidence where the wires are very close to the cylinder walls on water jacketing. This is evidently a question of heat radiation. Whether this action has any direct bearing on the "life" of the ignition wires I cannot say. I have not noticed this sympton before"
