We wired you to-day as follows "AGREE TO MAKING. X. 2066.
"SUBFRAME FOR PARK WARD TWENTY TO SUIT HYPOID AXLE PLEASE
SET THIS OUT.

We want the pots in this car to be approximately
the same in magnitude as those which will exist normally
on the 1st. long frame cars we make in production. On
these 1st. long frame cars you have inserted an aluminium
packing approximately .550 thick under the rear rubber buffer.
On the experimental car we are proposing to remove this
packing, increasing the negative camber in the rear spring
accordingly. Therefore if we fit hypoid gears with .550
offset the rear universal joint will be in a position
relative to the top of the frame not very different to that
which it occupies on the standard production long frame
chassis.

We would be glad if you would set out the mod-
ified pot over the propeller shaft, and send us a print.
Park Ward's are all ready to start work on this
body, and would be glad to receive the subframe at the
earliest possible date. We suggest that you send them
the frame complete with the heelboard cross member, but
minus this pot if it would enable you to despatch it any
sooner. The pot and rear floor could be made in Derby.
